Youth unemployment remains a major socioeconomic challenge in many developing economies. Limited employment opportunities, skills mismatches, inadequate vocational training, economic instability, and technological transformation contribute to difficulties in entering the labor market. This paper examines the socioeconomic consequences of youth unemployment, including income insecurity, migration, social exclusion, and reduced economic participation. It also explores strategies for improving youth employment through entrepreneurship, skills development, vocational education, and labor-market reforms. The study argues that addressing youth unemployment requires coordinated policies connecting education systems with changing labor-market demands.
