Abstract

cardiovascular disease (CVD) is traditionally associated with older populations, but emerging evidence indicates that several modifiable risk factors begin to develop during early adulthood. This study examines the relationship between lifestyle factors and cardiovascular risk among young adults. Particular emphasis is placed on physical inactivity, unhealthy dietary patterns, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, inadequate sleep, psychological stress, and sedentary behavior. The paper explores how these factors may contribute to obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, and other cardiovascular risk indicators. Early identification of modifiable risk factors provides an opportunity for preventive intervention before clinically significant cardiovascular disease develops. The study highlights the importance of health education, regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, stress management, and routine health screening. A comprehensive prevention-oriented approach targeting young adults may contribute to reducing the long-term burden of cardiovascular disease.
